Civil Engineer – Infrastructure Development | Immediate Start Location: Essex based, full time on site Contract Type: Permanent Full time employed Salary: Negotiable Client: Major Infrastructure Organisation We are urgently seeking a Civil Engineer with strong client-side experience to support the expansion of a major infrastructure site. This is a high-impact role working directly with senior engineering leadership to deliver complex, large-scale development projects in a dynamic and fast-paced environment. Key Responsibilities: Lead coordination of third-party suppliers, consultants, and contractors. Collaborate with internal teams (planning, legal, estates, environment) to drive project delivery. Oversee civil and building works, ensuring quality, compliance, and timely execution. Manage budgets, contractor claims, and project milestones. Conduct site setting out, surveying, and material tracking. Prepare documentation for regulatory approvals and contracts. Liaise with stakeholders and consultants throughout the project lifecycle. Ensure health & safety compliance across all activities.Candidate Profile: Degree (or higher) in Civil Engineering. Proven experience in infrastructure projects – ideally construction, civil engineering, port, or industrial environments. Strong project management and procurement skills. Familiarity with logistics, warehousing, or industrial development is a plus. Proficient in Microsoft Office and AutoCAD. Excellent communication and organisational skills.✅ Additional Requirements: Eligible to work in the UK. Full UK (or equivalent) driving licence.
