Join a multi-disciplined team delivering advanced automation solutions for integrating complex process systems. Looking for a proven Electrical / Electronic Design Engineer with a strong grasp of all aspects of electrical and electronic design. You will collaborate with other specialists on equipment design and integration, working to tight deadlines in a highly regulated industry.

Salary: £35,000 - £47,000

Job Type: Full time on site

Location: Newport

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design of electrical / electronic control and interface systems
  • Electrical assembly and enclosure design using Solid Edge
  • Wiring harness and AC / DC power distribution circuit design
  • Analogue, digital, and RF circuit design
  • Fault finding and problem solving
  • Design of critical safety circuits in compliance with EN13849

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Degree in Electrical / Electronic Engineering or equivalent
  • Demonstrated experience in electrical / electronic design
  • Strong knowledge of machinery safety regulations and EU harmonized standards (EN60204, EN13849)
  • Familiarity with UL / NFPA standards
  • Experience designing safety circuits
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD Electrical or equivalent
  • 3D CAD experience (preferred)
