We are seeking a dedicated Religious Education/Studies Teacher to join our team for 2025. This role is crucial in maintaining continuity of education within the RE Department, teaching quality lessons to students across KS3 and KS4, joining more permanently as an RE Teacher this year, and ensuring student safety and adherence to school policies. This is a role to start in January 2025/ASAP and would be great for anyone looking develop in their teaching career as the school can offer the progression but also fully qualified and experienced RE Teachers.
Day-to-day of the role:

Supervise classes in the absence of the teacher, ensuring student safety and behaviour.

Deliver and assist in the completion of work set by the teacher.

Manage student behaviour in line with school policies.

Perform daily lunchtime supervision duties.

Build positive professional relationships with students.

Supervise a range of subjects across the curriculum, including outdoor sports.

Utilise IT systems for setting work, taking registers, and internal communication.

For fully qualified teachers, fufill the full Class Teacher role.

Previous experience working with secondary school age students is preferable.

Experience in a secondary school classroom environment or working with young people in the community is advantageous.

Good IT skills are essential.

Must be flexible, resilient, and able to supervise various subjects.
