We are currently recruiting for a Health & Safety Assurance Manager to be based in Essex, working on a huge infrastructure project that will see a 2nd rail terminal being built, involving extensive investment and construction.
A leading global infrastructure organisation is seeking a H&S Assurance Manager to oversee HSE compliance on a major construction project in Essex. This is a pivotal role ensuring contractors and consultants meet stringent health and safety standards throughout the project lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities:- Review and assure contractor and consultant H&S plans and performance
- Conduct daily and weekly site inspections, focusing on high-risk activities
- Lead incident investigations and ensure timely reporting and corrective actions
- Maintain and monitor risk registers and emergency preparedness protocols
- Support onboarding, training, and cultural development around H&S
- Evaluate H&S elements in tender submissions and contractor onboarding
- NEBOSH or equivalent HSE qualification; project management credentials desirable
