We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Headteacher to lead our vibrant Special Needs school community. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining high educational standards and creating a nurturing environment for both students and staff.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage the school effectively, fostering an environment of academic excellence and holistic development.

  • Oversee school financial management and budget planning.

  • Implement strategies to raise standards of literacy and numeracy.

  • Manage and deploy staff effectively, ensuring professional development aligns with individual and school goals.

  • Analyse data to target support areas and track progress.

  • Work collaboratively with other schools and professionals for robust moderation and sharing of best practices.

  • Inspire a love of learning in students, particularly those who struggle with formal education.

  • Qualified Teacher Status and a degree or equivalent.

  • Minimum of 3 years of school leadership experience.

  • Strong understanding of school finances and financial management.

  • Proven ability to lead and manage a team or department.

  • Excellent skills in data analysis and strategic planning.

  • Robust knowledge of safeguarding, child protection, and the OFSTED Framework.

  • Desirable:

  • Recognised qualification in Leadership, Behaviour, Teaching and Learning, Curriculum, SEMH, or NPQH.

  • Experience in managing school budgets and leading PSD projects.

  • Experience with outstanding teaching and learning provision and policy across the school.
