We are seeking a stand alone Financial Controller/Finance Manager to manage daily financial operations, including nominal ledger, sales ledger, and purchase ledger postings. This role is crucial for maintaining short-term cash flow, reconciling company credit cards, and handling bank reconciliations across multiple currencies. The ideal candidate will be proficient in managing payroll, VAT returns, and year-end administrative tasks, ensuring compliance and accuracy in all financial reporting.
PLEASE NOTE This is an in office role, requiring you to work from the Warsash office 5 days a week.

Day-to-day of the role:

Manage daily nominal ledger, sales ledger, and purchase ledger postings.

Maintain short-term cash flow and perform company credit card reconciliations.

Conduct bank reconciliations for all accounts including GBP, USD, Euro, Credit Cards, and PayPal.

Handle clean import loans and Letters of Credit.

Manage sales ledger including allocation of receipts across multiple currencies and credit control.

Perform monthly reconciliations for HSBC invoice finance.

Input purchase invoices and conduct statement reconciliations.

Coordinate weekly supplier payment runs with the Operations Director across various currencies.

Prepare and set up weekly and monthly payroll using Kashflow.

Submit DEO, Pensions, and PAYE payments and post relevant journals into Opera 3.

Run month-end on the first working day of the month and post monthly journals.

Manage accruals, control account reconciliations, and VAT returns including PVA reconciliations.

Assist in maintaining accounts for specific projects and participate in ISO internal audits and quarterly management meetings.

Contribute to health and safety monthly meetings and assist external accountants with year-end accounts.

Support external consultants with annual R&D claims and provide ad-hoc support and reporting for directors.

Proven experience as a Financial Controller, Finance Manager or similar role.

Strong understanding of financial management and accounting principles.

Proficiency in payroll management and financial software, specifically Kashflow and Opera 3.

Experience with bank and account reconciliations across multiple currencies.
