Our client is seeking a skilled and strategic Finance Manager to lead and oversee all financial operations within their charitable organisation. This pivotal role involves working closely with the Chief Officer to ensure financial practices meet legal standards and support the charity\’s mission to promote wellbeing for residents in the local area. Key Responsibilities Monitor and analyse financial data, delivering accurate and timely reports to Trustees and senior leadership. Prepare and present budget forecasts, quarterly reforecasts, and cash flow projections. Collaborate with internal teams to enhance financial performance and deliver training that builds financial awareness across the organisation. Lead the annual budgeting process and manage year-end financial activities in line with regulatory requirements. Ensure compliance with financial governance and develop robust financial policies and procedures. Provide expert financial input for tenders, contracts, and grant applications, ensuring full cost recovery or approved investment. Manage and mentor the Finance Team, with oversight of payroll, accounts, debt management, and tax compliance. Skills & Qualifications Proven experience as a Finance Manager or equivalent role, ideally within the charity or non-profit sector. Professional qualification in finance or accounting (ACA, CIMA, ACCA, CIPFA) or equivalent degree. Proficiency in financial systems such as Xero and Microsoft Office 365. Strong analytical skills with the ability to communicate complex financial information clearly. Effective leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively across departments. Excellent time management and organisational skills, with the ability to work independently.
