QHSE Manager (Compliance)

Day-to-day of the role:

  • Maintain and manage compliance with ISO 9001:2015, ISO 14001, BRCGS V7 Packaging, and PS9000:2016 standards.
  • Lead internal and external audits, ensuring timely resolution of non-conformances.
  • Oversee documentation and records to support accreditation and regulatory compliance.
  • Ensure manufacturing processes meet food safety standards, particularly regarding low migration inks.
  • Develop and improve supplier approval processes and conduct supplier site audits.
  • Implement and monitor health and safety policies in line with HSE regulations.
  • Promote sustainable practices and support initiatives to reduce environmental impact.
  • Generate and analyse compliance and health & safety data,and write QA reports.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Strong communication, organisational, and customer care skills.
  • Analytical mindset with good numerical and statistical understanding.
  • Proficiency in relevant software (e.g., Tharstern, Pro-Active).
  • Experience in managing compliance with ISO 9001, ISO 14001, BRCGS, and PS9000 standards.
  • Ability to lead by example and inspire confidence across teams.
  • Familiarity with quality management tools and methodologies.
