We are recruiting a dedicated Production Team Leader to join a brilliant team in Scunthorpe. This role is crucial for maintaining high standards of quality and service within the production environment, particularly in the food industry. Responsibilities

  • Ensure compliance with Food Hygiene, Cleaning, and Health and Safety procedures.
  • Maintain high standards of quality and service in all job functions.
  • Lead team members by providing knowledge, experience, and training in collaboration with the training officer/manager.
  • Monitor and enforce compliance with hygiene measures and safety standards in production.
  • Check personnel adherence to hygienic standards.
  • Organise instructions for employees, assist in problem-solving, and distribute tasks among team members.
  • Ensure all team members follow proper procedures and guidelines.
  • Share industry-specific techniques to improve the use of tools and equipment, and enhance quality or speed of production.
  • Strictly follow all company procedures including traceability, critical control points such as metal detection, injecting, x-rays, dry curing, and smoking procedures.
  • Oversee the production of all labels, ensuring accuracy in dates and codes.
  • Guarantee the quality of all products, adhering to designated processes.
  • Instruct teams on emergency procedures and ensure readiness for any production process emergencies.
  • Address non-compliance among team members regarding hygiene, attendance, breaks, and work safety, and report to supervisors or managers as necessary.
