Packaging Innovation Manager – 9 Month FTC

Join our dynamic R&D/Technical team as a Packaging Innovation Manager on a 9-month fixed-term contract. This role is pivotal in driving forward our packaging innovation projects and developing a robust packaging strategy that aligns with our sustainability goals and company strategy. We are open to considering candidates looking for relocation.
Day-to-Day of the Role:
- Lead the development and execution of transformational packaging innovations from concept to launch, collaborating closely with Marketing, Procurement, Suppliers, Product Development, Supply Chain, and Operations.
- Evaluate and test packaging prototypes to ensure they meet quality, cost, sustainability, and functional requirements.
- Plan, execute, and review factory trials for assigned projects.
- Develop a 5-year packaging strategy roadmap, ensuring alignment with brand strategy, product innovation, sustainability, and market trends.
- Contribute to shaping the packaging innovation program for our brands, leveraging experience from other brands and categories.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Strong knowledge of packaging materials, technologies, design best practices, and sustainability.
- Good understanding of the food manufacturing process and packaging machinery.
- Proficient in understanding commercials & P&L\’s.
- Insight into consumer, customer, channel, and business needs, as well as back-of-house operations and supply chain.
- Proven industry experience in packaging development, with a track record of implementing new packaging innovations in FMCG food or consumer goods.
