You will work as a member of one of our Transactional Teams within Reed Smith Legal Solutions, a multi-disciplinary global team serving the Reed Smith global business. The role will be based in our Leeds delivery centre and will primarily support the RS London Real Estate group but may also be required to assist other practice areas or groups in the firm as needed from time to time.
You will work as part of a team helping to build and maintain an efficient and cost-effective solution for key Real Estate client services.

Responsibilities
- Handling day-to-day management of workload ie –
- Licences to assign, licences to sublet and alter, leases etc.
- SDLT/LTT Returns
- Sale and purchases
- LR Applications
- Landlord notices etc.
- Due diligence (Reports on Title, Certificates of Title etc.)
Key Skills, Attributes and Experience
- Passionate about delivering quality legal services
- Having superb case/project management skills
- Focused on efficiency, attention to detail and accuracy at all times when delivering legal services
- Resilient under pressure with the ability to meet tight deadlines and anticipate problems
- Ability to build good working relationships, credibility and trust with clients and colleagues
- Excellent written and oral communication skills and strong drafting and negotiating skills
- Having a positive “can-do” attitude, whether working individually or as part of a team
- Being able to successfully work as part of a team
- Comfortable with and capable of working proactively in a global organisation
- Being fluent in standard MS Office applications and able to quickly master new software.
- Taking personal ownership of self-improvement and being motivated by accountability
- Keeping up to date with developments in law and practice to ensure high quality of legal services is delivered
Education/Qualification/Experience
- Bachelor\’s degree
- Law degree or post-graduate legal certification/ qualification helpful but not essential
- Minimum 2 years’ experience of commercial real estate legal work as a paralegal, ideally within a full service commercial law firm.
