Job Description

HSE & Facilities Officer\\n\\nLocation: Southampton\\nJob Type: Full-time\\nWe are seeking a dedicated H&S Advisor possibly with additional Facilities experience to join our Clients Operations team. This role is crucial for ensuring that all employees work in a safe, environmentally friendly, and well-maintained environment. The successful candidate will work alongside the QHSE Manager and Manufacturing Manager to develop and implement safety policies, manage facilities, and ensure compliance with legal and industry standards.\\n\\nDay-to-day of the role:\\n\\nCompile statistical data and prepare HSE performance reports for management review.\\nConduct regular HSE risk assessments, audits, and inspections, reporting findings to management.\\nDevelop and implement safety and environmental policies and procedures in compliance with legal requirements.\\nEnsure compliance with environmental regulations and manage hazardous materials and waste.\\nInvestigate accidents and incidents to identify causes and recommend corrective actions.\\nMaintain up-to-date knowledge of relevant legislation and industry best practices.\\nParticipate in emergency response planning and drills.\\nDeliver HSE induction to employees at all levels and promote a positive safety culture.\\nManage site facilities, ensuring smooth operation and high standards at all times.\\nRespond to emergency maintenance issues and manage work with outside contractors.\\nArrange for regular maintenance of equipment and systems, and draft preventive maintenance schedules.\\nOversee contracts and providers for services such as security, parking, cleaning, and catering.\\n\\nRequired Skills & Qualifications:\\n\\nDemonstrable experience in H&S\\nNational Certificate in Occupational Health & Safety (NEBOSH) required.\\nExcellent communication skills, capable of working with people at all levels both within the organisation and externally.\\nProficient in preparing detailed reports, incident records, and facilitating training sessions.\\nSkilled in auditing, implementing corrective actions, and prioritising tasks.\\nWorking knowledge of safety and environmental regulations, risk assessments, and emergency response.\\nGood problem-solving skills and ability to develop practical solutions.\\n\\nBenefits:\\n\\nOpportunities for professional development and training.\\nA supportive and dynamic work environment.To apply for the HSE & Facilities Officer position, please submit your CV and cover letter detailing your relevant experience and why you are interested in this role
