ELECTRICIAN * 1 X TEMPORARY VACANCY AND 1 X PERMANENT VACANCY * SALARY: £29.59 PER HOUR (UMBRELLA) * LOCATION: RG12 BRACKNELL * JOB TYPE: 6 MONTH CONTRACT, FULL TIME * START DATE: ASAP One of the biggest housing associations in the UK is looking for Electricians to undertake electrical repairs and maintenance work and provide high-quality, cost-effective services its customers. REQUIREMENTS * NVQ Level 3 qualification or equivalent. – City & Guilds 2361 Part 1, 2, and AM2 or equivalent. * 17th/18th Edition IEE Wiring Regulations qualification. * City & Guilds 239/1 Inspection and Testing or equivalent. * Basic DBS * Ability to undertake associated trade tasks, such as installing electric showers, applying plaster, fixing plasterboard, grouting tiles, and silicone sealing. * PASMA qualification (highly advantageous) * Asbestos awareness certificate (advantageous) * Ability to read construction drawings (advantageous) * Experience working within a social housing environment (highly advantageous) * Full UK manual driving licence (ESSENTIAL) DUTIES: * Conduct pre-start risk assessments. * Perform visual inspections of tools and equipment to ensure they are fit for purpose. Collaborate with your line manager and comply with mandatory procedures. * Notify your supervisor of issues related to access, operations, and van stocks. * Ensure compliance with company policy, follow the Highway Code, and exercise due care when driving a company vehicle. * Maintain confidentiality of personal information and data, ensuring compliance with data protection policies * Adhere to safety, health, and environment policies at all times. * Identify and undertake electrical and associated work as directed. * Carry out multi-skill activities as required and within competency. * Liaise with other employees to complete specified works. * Maintain productivity levels and work within required timescales or targets. * Plan and complete job orders on time and to quality standards. * Notify the supervisor of any access issues. * Ensure timely processing of relevant documentation and system updates. * Conduct work in accordance with current legislation, British Standards, Codes of Practice, and safe systems of work. * Use information systems and technology effectively. * Undertake essential reinstatement work to ensure premises are safe, secure, and weather-tight. * Maintain and account for vehicle stocks. * Take a proactive approach to health and safety, reporting any hazards or unsafe practices. * Inspect tools, equipment, and vehicles, reporting any defects and complying with formal testing checks. * Use protective clothing and health and safety equipment correctly. * Undertake pre-start risk assessments. * Cooperate with health surveillance programmes. * Follow safety procedures for working at heights. * Ensure resident safety and security when working in occupied properties. * Maintain effective working relationships with colleagues, clients, and customers, and work as part of a team.
