Head of Bid Management

About the Company – Reed Learning is looking for a Bid Manager to both write and project manage tenders and presentations for our future clients. The candidate will build up Reed Learning’s bid management processes, working closely with the Director of Consulting to establish a bid function which can manage multiple bids simultaneously. This role will also include proactive business development responsibilities to identify potential opportunities, conduct competitor analysis, and support the engagement of decision-makers.

About the Role – You will be responsible for establishing and running Reed Learning’s bid management function, initially creating the processes needed to enable future success. You’ll work in partnership with our Director of Consulting throughout the proposal process, project managing different stakeholders to ensure we get the information we need, when we need it. This will initially involve setting up Reed Learning’s bid management processes, drawing on the bid expertise elsewhere in the Reed Group. You will create engaging graphics and presentations that support our sales messages. This will involve working with the Client Services and sales teams to prepare Discussion documents for clients who are interested in our services. You’ll conduct competitor analysis to understand the competitive landscape and inform bid strategies.

Establish and run Reed Learning’s bid management function
Create engaging graphics and presentations that support sales messages
Experience in bid management/creation, preferably within the training, leadership development, or managed services industry
Ability to multi-task, working on several projects at any given time
Ability to assimilate sales strategies and offerings to market
Experience of shaping bids, identifying win themes, SWOT analysis

Project management, including multiple projects and multiple stakeholders
Knowledge of Microsoft products including Word, PowerPoint and Excel
