Key responsibilities
- Identify, target, and secure new business opportunities across all Reed Learning products and services.
- Develop and execute strategic plans to achieve sales targets and expand our customer base.
- Establish Reed Learning as a trusted partner and first-choice provider for clients, building lasting relationships with new and existing customers.
- Represent the company at industry events, including conferences, trade shows, and networking opportunities, to enhance brand presence and foster new relationships.
- Collaborate with internal teams to tailor solutions that meet client needs and align with our product offerings.
- Develop and deliver persuasive presentations and tailored proposals to prospective clients, effectively showcasing Reed Learning’s full suite of offerings.
- Produce insightful reports that communicate business development outcomes and strategic recommendations to internal stakeholders.
- Provide accurate sales forecasts and regularly report on key performance indicators to support data-driven decision-making.
- Conduct market research to stay informed on industry trends, competitors, and customer needs, translating insights into strategies that drive business growth.
- Engage in ongoing professional development, including participation in staff training and staying informed about sector trends and legislative changes relevant to the L&D industry.
Skills and experience
- Proven experience in business development or sales within the Learning & Development or education sector.
- Demonstrable success in winning new business and exceeding sales targets.
- Strong networking skills with the ability to build and nurture long-term relationships.
- Experience working with decision-makers at various levels, with a consultative approach and the ability to adapt to clients’ unique values and requirements.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
- Strong organisational skills, with a focus on time management, planning, and attention to detail.
