We are inviting applications for the position of Assistant Head Housekeeper at our prestigious 5-star hotel. This role is perfectly suited for an ambitious Head Housekeeper from a smaller hotel or a current Supervisor within a large hotel setting, looking to advance their career in a high-profile environment.

Day-to-day of the role:

  • Assist the Head Housekeeper in overseeing the daily operations of the housekeeping department.
  • Supervise and coordinate the activities of the housekeeping staff to ensure all rooms and public areas meet the hotel's rigorous standards of cleanliness.
  • Conduct regular inspections of guest rooms and common areas to ensure specifications are met.
  • Manage the inventory of housekeeping supplies, placing orders and controlling costs effectively.
  • Address guest complaints regarding housekeeping service and take immediate corrective action.
  • Train and mentor housekeeping staff, promoting a culture of high performance and continuous improvement.
  • Assist in the preparation of the housekeeping budget and maintain records for housekeeping supplies.
  • Ensure compliance with all safety and sanitation policies throughout the hotel.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as a Head Housekeeper in a smaller hotel or as a Supervisor in a large hotel.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and motivate a team in a high-pressure environment.
  • Excellent organizational skills, with an eye for detail and the ability to multitask.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Knowledge of cleaning and sanitation products, techniques, and standards.
  • Flexibility to respond to a range of different work situations.
  • High school diploma required; further education in hospitality or a related field is preferred.
