We are seeking a skilled Barista to join our café in Cumbria on a temporary basis. This role is ideal for someone who is passionate about coffee and providing exceptional customer service. The assignment will last until the end of June, offering daytime hours from Monday to Saturday.
Day-to-day of the role:
- Prepare and serve coffee and other drinks according to our standard recipes.
- Engage with customers, taking orders, and processing payments.
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the coffee station, counters, and seating areas.
- Ensure all coffee machines and equipment are operated safely and efficiently.
- Restock coffee bar supplies and manage inventory.
- Provide a friendly and welcoming environment for all customers.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Previous experience as a Barista or in a similar role in the hospitality industry.
- Knowledge of various coffee brewing methods, equipment, and techniques.
- Excellent customer service skills and the ability to engage positively with customers.
- Ability to work efficiently and calmly under pressure.
- Good time management skills and reliability.
