For over 60 years, Reed's engineering and manufacturing specialists have been recruiting professionals like you for permanent, temporary and contract positions. We have been instructed by one of our manufacturing clients in Harlow to support in their recruitment of a Design Engineer. They are looking to appoint a candidate who is confident using CAD software (Solidworks preferred) and has experience of a wide range of manufacturing processes eg sheet metal fabrication, vacuum forming. You will be joining a highly experienced team and will be working to briefs on quick-turnaround projects. Responsibilities: – Taking on assigned briefs to produce manufacturing drawings, working to time constraints and budgets. – Evaluating and / or redesigning prototypes – Effective cross functional communication with different departments in the factory – 2D drawing, BOM's, technical specification documents Skills & Experience Required: – Minimum 2 years practical experience in a similar role – Engineering degree (design discipline preferred) – 3D CAD – Experience of a broad range of manufacturing processes eg sheet metal fabrication / vacuum forming Interested?
