You will also load and unload bulk tipper trucks using silo loading systems and or loading shovels (load all or similar), utilising weigh bridges and on-board weighing systems to ensure GVW and axle loadings are not exceeded.You will also be responsible for:Ensuring that all Health and Safety requirements and procedures are followed in particular to drive and operate the vehicle in a safe manner, fuel efficiently and delivering excellent customer serviceAssisting field staff when required.Working with operations to ensure optimum sludge quality is achieved for transportation.Ability to adapt to changing work schedules and demands as required by the Planning Team.Upholding a professional standard of driving at all timesTechnical Skills & ExperienceTo be successful in this role you will need to be an excellent communicator with good team working skills. You will also have Knowledge of Transport and Health & Safety Legislation as well as:Experience of dealing with customersAnalytical skills with the ability to display initiative.Basic IT skills including Microsoft Outlook / smart phone telephony knowledgeTechnical proficiencyThis role may not be eligible for the visa sponsorshipQualificationsEssential QualificationsCategory C+E Driving LicenceDriver CPCCarrying liquid loads and or holder of an ADR driver cardDesirable QualificationsIt would be advantageous to have training and/or experience in the use of vacuum and pressure tankersTelehandler licenseTo have completed training in Emergency First Aid, Manual Handling and to have basic IT skills.About the TeamWe provide an essential service to the Water and Wastewater Services Teams, allowing clean compliant water to be returned to our water coursesThe team provides a service to the whole of the North WestWe transport waste from ‘end to end’.
