We\’re looking for a Lifetime Quality Record (LTQR) Engineer to join our KierBAM Joint Venture (JV) partnership between Kier and Bam Nuttall based in Plymouth, Devon. Location: Devonport Dockyard, Plymouth, Devon. Can offer some working from home. Hours: Permanent, Full Time We are unable to offer certificates of sponsorship to any candidates in this role. Responsibilities As a LTQR Engineer, you\’ll be working within the Devonport Dockyard team, to support guide and monitor the progressive delivery of compliant Lifetime Quality Records (LTQR) packages and associated construction assurance deliverables on the Devonport 10 Dock Upgrade Project. Your day to day will include: Review & Compliance: Review LTQR packages for completeness, consistency, and compliance with relevant procedures and requirements; Support the technical review process conducted by KBJV and the Client; Actively monitor overall performance and package progress; Verify documentation is correctly captured within the CDE, and promote consistency of content, format, and methodology; Proactively step-in to assist with LTQR package compilation when required to ensure continuity and timely deliveryReporting & Coordination: To support the LTQR Manager and all colleagues within the Quality Team in delivering Quality across the project. To provide regular updates on progress, risks, and emerging issues. Ensure relevant trackers and dashboards are consistently updated. Continuous Improvement & Oversight: Share lessons learnt and best practices across teams. Maintain a proactive and flexible mindset. An enthusiasm for and willingness to collaborate with adjacent disciplines and project teams where needed to facilitate digital transformation and Quality success.Health, Safety & Wellbeing: Take reasonable care of your own health and safety and that of others. This role of LTQR Engineer is great for you if: Experience: Demonstrable involvement in, and understanding of, Construction Assurance Packages, LTRs, LTQRs, or similar progressive assurance models on major infrastructure projects is essential. Relevant examples include HS2, Thames Tideway, and Crossrail. Experience in nuclear or defence sectors is not required but may be advantageousQualifications: PCQI / MCQI membership is desirable, along with a relevant industry qualification such as HNC/HND, NVQ Level 4 or 5, or a degree in quality, engineering, or related fields. However, practical experience is equally valued. Applicants with a vocational background in Construction Quality fields are encouraged and will be given equal consideration.Technical Competence: This should not be perceived as an entry-level administrative or document control role. The successful candidate is expected to confidently interpret technical drawings, ITPs, and specifications; actively engage with the supply chain and delivery teams; review and assess evidential document submissions; identify omissions and inconsistencies; and ensure client and project requirements are fully satisfied. This role may also suit Section or Site Engineers looking to transition into a more quality- or certification-focused career path.Digital Proficiency: Strong digital skills are essential. Intermediate proficiency in Excel is required, with experience in Power Query, Power BI, or similar tools considered highly advantageous. Familiarity with platforms such as ASite, ProjectWise, Synchro, and other Bentley Systems is expected. Awareness of BIM processes and terminology is also desirable.
