This role is to maintain and service all centrifuges in United Utilities fix and mobile, in addition to setup mobile centrifuge installations. Accountabilities & Responsibilities Responsible for maintaining and servicing all centrifuges in Untied UtilitiesExcellent understanding on how centrifuges work is essentical and what is required to repair themYou will report direct to Reginal Dewatering Manager, and will need to work closely with all Production managers in Bioresources and Wastewater Production Managers in CumbriaAlso required to work with the Technical Officer as required for maintenance of mobile fleet and moving and setting up mobile dewatering equipment. Technical Skills & Experience Primary skill mechanicalSecondary skill electricalExtensive mechanical engineering experience such as centrifugalStripping and maintaining pumps such as peristaltic, cavity displacement and centrifugalComputer literacy is criticalAbility to work on their own, but mainly as a pairTake ownership of jobs and equipment Qualifications Essential Qualifications Time served in relevant engineering discipline, HNC, ONC or equivalent in a relevant technical area along with relevant engine manufacturer’s specific trainingExtensive mechanical engineering experience such as centrifugalMust have a valid driving licence About the Team While based in Mersey Valley Processing Centre, Widnes this job will require a lot of traveling covering the whole of Untied Utilities from Crewe to Carlisle, Liverpool to Oldham.May involve nights away extensive experience of maintaining centrifuges and pumps.
