About us: The Bread Factory is London’s leading Artisan Bakery, known for award-winning breads, pastries, and cakes, supplying top-quality products across e-commerce, grocery, food services, and retailers such as our GAIL’s Bakeries nationwide. As our teams grow, we are looking for our next Afternoon Pastry Assistant. As a Pastry Assistant, you will make our award-winning pastries using methods of mixing, baking, scaling and shaping. This job is for you if you like a fast-paced environment and enjoy working in a team. Contracted hours: 45 hours – Full Time (overtime is optional) Contract Type: Full-Time Working Hours: 2pm – 11pm Hourly rate of £12.25 per hour (bi-weekly pay) Shift Pattern: Mon-Sun, any 5 days out of 7 Location: Hendon, London, NW9 – If you live within a 5-mile radius, this job is for you Every day is different at The Bread Factory, but here are some of the things you will be doing: Assisting in the preparation and production of pastries and desserts following our artisan methodsMeasuring and mixing ingredients accurately according to recipesSupporting the Pastry Chefs in daily operations and special ordersEnsuring a clean, organised, and food-safe working environmentKeeping up with production targets while maintaining our high standardsHelping with packing and labelling as needed Our people tell us you’ll be a great addition to the team if you are… Passionate about food and eager to learn the art of pastry makingReliable, punctual, and happy to work as part of a close-knit teamComfortable working in a fast-paced kitchen or production environmentDetail-oriented and committed to quality in everything you doOpen to early starts or flexible working hours when requiredPrevious pastry or bakery experience is a plus, but not essential!
