Job Title: Transport Co-ordinator (Nights) Location: Redditch Salary: £31,460 per annum (inclusive of night shift allowance) Job Type: Permanent, Full-Time Working Hours: Friday to Monday, 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM (44 hours per week, including 1-hour unpaid break) Job Description: An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Transport Co-ordinator to join a well-established logistics team. This night-based role is ideal for someone who thrives under pressure, has exceptional attention to detail, and is confident in taking ownership of time-critical transport operations. You’ll work as part of a small night team (or independently), ensuring the smooth and efficient movement of goods, maintaining clear communication with customers, carriers, and internal departments. Main Responsibilities: * Accurately input and manage transport jobs using internal systems * Monitor and track the movement of goods and communicate progress to customers * Liaise with carriers and subcontractors; negotiate rates when required * Plan vehicle movements and coordinate returns and collections with warehouse staff * Complete job files by obtaining PODs and supporting documentation * Escalate issues promptly, including high-priority or time-sensitive deliveries * Maintain system integrity and ensure accurate documentation and filing * Collaborate with Operations, Accounts, and Warehouse teams for smooth workflow Candidate Requirements: * Strong communication skills, both written and verbal * Highly organised and able to prioritise tasks under pressure * Excellent attention to detail and accuracy * A positive, proactive, and professional attitude * Experience in a transport or logistics environment is highly desirable * Able to work night shifts independently or in a small team setting * Comfortable managing high-profile shipments or urgent logistical tasks Training: Initial training will be carried out on day shifts (Monday to Friday) for 6–8 weeks (40 hours per week, salary pro rata during this period) Benefits: * Competitive salary of £31,460 (inclusive of night shift allowance) * 20 days holiday (plus bank holidays) * Permanent contract with a reputable logistics operation * Supportive working environment with autonomy and responsibility Additional Information: * This is a fully office-based role – hybrid or remote working is not available * You will report directly to the Operations Manager * Immediate start available for the right candidate Apply now to become a vital part of a professional and fast-paced night operations team
