Job Title: Quality Controller 📍 Location: Chorley 💷 Salary: £35,000 per annum (DOE) 🕒 Job Type: Full-time, Permanent 📅 Shifts: Monday to Thursday (6am–6pm / 6pm–6am rotating) Overview: Are you passionate about product quality and process improvement? We are currently recruiting for a skilled Quality Controller to join our manufacturing team. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with a strong background in quality assurance who wants to make a real impact in a fast-paced production environment. Key Responsibilities: * Maintain and monitor quality systems to meet company, customer, and legal standards * Conduct audits and inspections in line with the Quality Management System (QMS) * Raise non-conformances with clear evidence and support teams with corrective actions * Complete product testing and internal audits according to schedules or as needed * Assist in full investigations of customer complaints and out-of-spec results, ensuring full traceability * Provide technical support to factory teams, including advice on labelling, calibration, and traceability * Work alongside production on continuous improvement initiatives * Support new product trials and launches to ensure compliance with technical specifications Skills & Experience Required: * Previous experience in a Quality Controller or similar role (preferably in manufacturing or food/FMCG industries) * Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure * Strong IT skills, including Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook * Ability to interpret and report on data accurately * Confident in challenging issues and identifying root causes * Detail-oriented with excellent communication and interpersonal skills * Self-motivated with a continuous improvement mindset What’s on Offer: * Competitive salary: £35,000 per annum (depending on experience) * Continental shift pattern – enjoy a 4-day working week * Friendly, collaborative team culture * Career development opportunities * Full training and support Working Pattern: * Shift Type: Continental * Days: Monday to Thursday * Hours: 6:00am–6:00pm and 6:00pm–6:00am (rotating) Ready to take the next step in your quality career?
