Redwood is a large special school for learners with a wide range of complex SEND from 11-19. This is an exciting time for Redwood; demand for places is high and we are expanding further. Redwood aims to provide the highest quality of care, teaching, and learning to our learners and requires all our staff to work together as a part of a coherent team.
The purpose and objectives of the post are:
- To work with teachers or leads, by providing specialist support to individual students, small groups and/or leading learning activities within an area of specialism.
- To deliver whole class teaching cover, for example during teacher’s PPA time or due to staff absence where relevant to the role deployment.
- To deliver 121 and small group intervention both in and out of the classroom.
- To be committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.
- Review and assess learner progress.
