About the role

As a Team Leader you will lead the care team on shift, ensuring safe, person‑centred care for our residents and acting as the key point of contact for families and professionals.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate the care team on shift; allocate tasks and manage breaks.
• Deliver high‑quality, person‑centred care and support with daily living.
• Administer and record medications safely (eMAR), escalating concerns promptly.
• Complete and update care plans, risk assessments and daily notes accurately.
• Carry out observations (e.g., BP, pulse, weight) and report changes to nurses/management.
• Conduct effective handovers and maintain clear communication across the team.
• Mentor, supervise and coach new starters and Care Assistants; support training compliance.
• Liaise professionally with residents’ families, GPs and external professionals.
• Uphold safeguarding, dignity, infection control, GDPR and health & safety standards.
• Assist with audits (care records/meds), incident reporting and falls prevention.
