Job Description Come and work as a bus mechanic where you will be a valued member of the team and help us keep the community moving!\n \nPay & Benefits\n \n £25.75 per hour \n Overtime rate: £38.62 per hour \n 25 days annual leave plus bank holidays \n Access to shopping discounts via the village app \n Bus pass for you and eligible family members \n What You'll Do\n \n Carry out thorough daily vehicle inspections on buses to identify faults, defects, or safety issues \n Respond to on-road breakdowns, diagnosing bus faults and completing minor repairs where possible \n Support both planned and unplanned maintenance activities within the workshop \n Ensure all work is completed in line with safety, legal, and Arriva engineering standards \n Accurately complete service sheets, inspection reports, and maintenance records \n Work collaboratively with fellow engineers, supervisors, operations teams and wider teams to keep services running and strive for continuous improvements \n What We're Looking For\n \n NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in PSV /PCV or HGV Engineering with time served experience. \n Strong understanding of industry standards, safety procedures, and diagnostic techniques \n Confidence working independently and following technical instructions \n Good mechanical skills with experience using workshop tools and equipment \n Physically fit and able to carry out manual handling tasks \n Flexibility to work shifts, including weekends \n \n \n JBRP1_UKTJ
