My client runs buses and coaches around central London and for excursions. It is a successful business and offers something different to the usual Red Bus of London.

We are looking for experienced bus mechanics to maintain the fleet.

Benefits:

  • You will earn £1200 per week or £62,400 per annum + overtime.
  • The environment is clean, the work is fair, unlike many garages.
  • The job will entail up to 3 vehicle inspections/services daily.
  • Company perks.

Hours:

  • This is a 4 on 4 off schedule, starting at 7am or 11am, with 12-hour shifts.
  • Park onsite.

Requirements:

  • We are looking for fully qualified bus mechanics, with experience in bus and coach mechanics.
  • We may be able to help if you have HGV technician experience and want to work on buses.
  • Ideally, you will have an NVQ level 3 engineering or equivalent in 'heavy goods vehicle maintenance'.
  • An IRTEC license would be beneficial.

Interview process:

You will have a short interview and be given a bus to inspect. There may be some questions around legal tolerances on brakes, safety items and that kind of thing on the inspection requirements.

The job is PAYE therefore direct with the employer. Paid holidays.

If this job has caught your eye, please apply and I will be in touch. This may suit a qualified mechanic who has been contracting or working for a large TfL company that now wants a different working arrangement.
