We're looking for a skilled Bus mechanics / HGV Mechanic to join our garage team.
We welcome ex-military candidates and anyone who has left the trade and is considering a return to becoming a bus technician.
You will have experience and level 3 or equivalent in Heavy Goods Vehicles maintenance. If you have level 2 only then we can still look at up-skilling with this vacancy.
What you'll do
- Carry out routine inspections, servicing, and preventative maintenance
- Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical faults
- Work with hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment
- Ensure vehicles meet safety and operational standards
- Keep the fleet running smoothly to support our essential services
- You will work well on your own and be able to work in teams.
What I'm looking for
- Level 3 in heavy vehicle maintenance or above.
- Experience with servicing and maintaining Buses, HGVs, Trucks, or similar vehicles.
- Strong mechanical knowledge, plus electrical experience is desirable.
- Practical, problem-solving mindset.
- Able to carry out physical work safely.
- Organised and reliable, you will be happy to work shifts.
- A good solid work history is a must.
- A PCV licence or willingness to learn.
