Our client, an established garage is looking for a dedicated and organised person to join their team as Business Manager. This is a varied and fulfilling role for someone who wants to make a real difference to the business. You will work closely with the senior leadership team to deliver the excellent service the garage has become known for.
On a day-to-day basis you will be responsible for all the back-office functions including finances, support with HR matters, management of the back-office systems and processes and marketing. This is a newly created role designed to provide much needed support to the business owner in all aspects of the back-office business functions. This includes implementing processes for improved efficiencies, daily finances, customer liaison and marketing and promotion of the business. You will be reporting directly to the Business Director.
About you
To be successful in this role you will have worked in a garage or similar environment previously. You will be confident using technology, ideally with experience of using accounting and garage management software, Garage Hive would be a bonus. You will have good financial and commercial awareness, be enthusiastic and enjoy getting stuck into a variety of tasks.
Essential
- Experience of working in a garage or similar environment
- Experience of managing a business division, office or small business including basic accounting and managing people
- A good level of computer literacy, ideally including a Garage Management System or similar and accounting packages such as Sage
Main responsibilities
- Ownership of the Garage Management System
- Reconciliation of daily accounts
- Stock management
- Working with suppliers to ensure efficient payment and delivery
- Regular reviews of pricing and affordability
- Promotion and marketing of the business
- Working with the business owner to ensure business continuity
- Ensuring the smooth operation of all back-office functions
