Requirements for Senior Design & Development Engineer:
- A 2.1 or 1st class degree in Engineering, Physics, Design Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electronics Engineering or a closely related discipline
- Outstanding academic credentials throughout education, including at least AAA at A Level (or international equivalent), alongside a degree from a leading international university
- Demonstrable experience in a senior design, product development or R&D engineering role
- Strong CAD design experience
- Experience with PCB electronics and electronic system design
- Understanding of CAD and PDM methodologies
- Strong practical engineering ability with excellent workshop and hands-on development skills
- Ability to quickly learn new tools, technologies and engineering disciplines
- Willingness to work onsite five days per week
- Ability to travel at short notice when required
- Personal engineering projects demonstrating a passion for building and creating
- Experience designing and building machines, robotics, automation systems or other complex electromechanical products
Responsibilities for Senior Design & Development Engineer:
- Design, develop and refine innovative products from early-stage concepts through to production-ready designs
- Create detailed CAD models and engineering designs
- Design, build and test physical prototypes
- Develop PCB-based electronic systems and integrate them into wider products
- Rapidly iterate designs based on testing and experimental results
- Identify and solve complex engineering challenges across multiple disciplines
- Improve product performance, reliability, manufacturability and efficiency
- Support product development throughout the full engineering lifecycle
- Contribute directly within workshop and R&D environments through hands-on engineering activities
