An exciting opportunity for an experienced Design Engineer with expertise in Electronics, Mechatronics or Optical Engineering, to join an innovative stealth start-up in Saffron Walden working on exciting product development from prototype to production. Location: Saffron Walden, UK - fully on-site due to the nature of the role
Salary: £75,000 - £100,000 per annum + benefits
Requirements:
- Highly experienced in Product Development from prototype to Production
- Proficiency in CAD Software
- Expertise in either Electronics, Mechatronics or Optical Engineering
- 1st class honours or a high 2.1 degree from a top university in Engineering, Maths, Physics, Electronics or similar
- Strong problem-solving ability
- You must be in a position to qualify for SC Clearance due to the nature of some customers
Responsibilities:
- Work closely with diverse teams to conceptualise, design, and develop innovative products
- Create and refine detailed designs using CAD tools to enhance prototypes
- Engage in hands-on prototype construction and testing, making iterative improvements based on results
- Tackle complex engineering problems with creative and practical solutions
