Location: Cambridge – on-site 5 days a week
Salary: Up to £70,000 per annum + benefits
Requirements:
- Strong commercial experience in front-end development using either React or Angular
- Proven ability to take front-end applications from early prototype through to production deployment
- Solid understanding of modern front-end architecture, state management, and tooling
- Experience working with back-end systems and APIs
- Ability to read and understand Python code, particularly prototype-level implementations
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, technically complex environment
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to collaborate across technical teams
- You must hold a STEM degree, and ideally have a strong academic background
- Experience with GitHub or a portfolio of work is beneficial
Responsibilities:
- Design, build, and maintain modern front-end applications using React or Angular
- Take ownership of development from early-stage prototypes through to full production systems
- Collaborate closely with back-end engineers and technical specialists
- Translate complex technical processes into intuitive and robust user interfaces
- Work closely with product and technical teams to rapidly iterate on new features
- Ensure performance, scalability, and maintainability of front-end codebases
- Contribute to architectural decisions where appropriate
- Support and mentor more junior developers as the team grows
