A rare opportunity for an exceptional Senior Design & Development Engineer to join a cutting-edge technology company developing highly innovative products at the intersection of advanced engineering and emerging technologies.

Requirements:

  • A 2.1 or 1st class degree in Engineering, Physics, Design Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electronics Engineering or a closely related discipline.
  • Outstanding academic credentials throughout education.
  • Demonstrable experience in a senior design, product development or R&D engineering role.
  • Strong CAD design experience.
  • Experience with PCB electronics and electronic system design.
  • Understanding of CAD and PDM methodologies.
  • Strong practical engineering ability with excellent workshop and hands-on development skills.
  • Ability to quickly learn new tools, technologies and engineering disciplines.
  • Willingness to work onsite five days per week.
  • Ability to travel at short notice when required.
  • Personal engineering projects demonstrating a passion for building and creating.
  • Experience designing and building machines, robotics, automation systems or other complex electromechanical products.

Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop and refine innovative products from early-stage concepts through to production-ready designs.
  • Create detailed CAD models and engineering designs.
  • Design, build and test physical prototypes.
  • Develop PCB-based electronic systems and integrate them into wider products.
  • Rapidly iterate designs based on testing and experimental results.
  • Identify and solve complex engineering challenges across multiple disciplines.
  • Improve product performance, reliability, manufacturability and efficiency.
  • Support product development throughout the full engineering lifecycle.
  • Contribute directly within workshop and R&D environments through hands-on engineering activities.
