Location: Saffron Walden, UK – fully on-site due to the nature of the role
Salary: £55,000 - £85,000 per annum DOE
Requirements for RF Engineer:
- Highly experienced in RF Design and Testing
- Experienced in RF Design Software such as HFSS, CST, ADS, MATLAB
- 1st class honours or a high 2.1 degree in Engineering, Maths, Physics, Electronics or similar
- In-depth understanding of phased array antennas and beamforming technologies
- Experience with RF Front-end components and RF communication standards
- Knowledge of SDRs and tools like GNU Radio for signal processing
- Strong problem-solving ability
- You must be in a position to qualify for SC Clearance due to the nature of some customers
Responsibilities for RF Engineer:
- Develop and refine RF components and systems, including antennas, filters, and amplifiers
- Use simulation tools like HFSS, ADS, CST, and MATLAB to model and analyse RF systems
- Conduct testing and validation of RF hardware to meet performance standards and regulatory requirements
- Diagnose and address issues related to RF interference and signal integrity
- Partner with multidisciplinary teams to integrate RF elements into broader systems
- Design phased array antennas and implement beamforming technologies for advanced high-frequency applications
- Record test outcomes and ensure adherence to EMC and EMI compliance standards
- Work with Software Defined Radios (SDRs) and tools such as GNU Radio for signal processing and evaluation
