Working as part of a world-class engineering team, you will help design and develop cutting-edge software solutions that tackle complex real-world challenges. This role would suit experienced software engineers looking to work on technically challenging projects within a research-driven environment.
Location: Cambridge office available (minimum 2 days per week in office)
Salary: £60,000 - £80,000 basic per annum + comprehensive benefits package, including private health for family, enhanced pension, etc.
Requirements for Software Engineer – Mid-Level or Senior:
- Proficient programming ability in Python
- Strong understanding of Python concepts such as decorators, generators, context managers and multithreading
- Strong academic background including degree educated in a STEM subject
- Ability to write high-quality, production-ready code
- An interest in complex technical challenges, data-driven systems and emerging technologies
- Experience with cloud environments, Git CI/CD, JavaScript, Rust or C++ would be beneficial but is not essential
Responsibilities for Software Engineer – Mid-Level - Senior:
- Design, develop and enhance innovative software products and platforms
- Contribute to both greenfield development projects and the enhancement of existing systems
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of software quality, performance and scalability
- Work across a diverse technology stack, with opportunities to develop expertise in areas including Python, JavaScript, Rust and C++
