A fantastic opportunity for a Graduate Test Engineer to join a well-established technology company developing advanced communication software and hardware products used in professional environments worldwide. This role is ideal for a recent graduate who wants hands-on experience testing mobile and desktop applications, while building automation experience using Python.
You will work across mobile apps on iOS and Android, as well as desktop applications for both Windows and macOS. This is a great opportunity to kick-start your engineering career in a collaborative, supportive team, gaining exposure to a wide variety of testing methodologies and real-world product development.
Location: Cambridge area (hybrid working available)
Requirements for Graduate Test Engineer:
- Strong interest or project experience testing mobile applications on iOS and Android (if you have mobile app testing experience, either project or commercial, please make this clear on your CV as priority will be given to candidates with this experience)
- Exposure to testing desktop apps on Windows and macOS
- Some Python experience, with enthusiasm to learn more about automation
- Ability to follow, execute and write clear test cases
- Good analytical and troubleshooting abilities
- Excellent communication skills and strong attention to detail
- HND or Degree in a technical discipline such as Computer Science, Engineering, Physics, Maths or similar
Responsibilities for Graduate Test Engineer:
- Test mobile apps across iOS and Android platforms
- Test desktop software across Windows and macOS
- Create and maintain test cases for upcoming and existing releases
- Investigate, reproduce and report defects clearly to engineering teams
- Assist with writing automation scripts in Python using an internal framework
- Contribute to continuous improvement of testing processes and product quality
- Work closely with developers, product teams and fellow testers
