A fantastic opportunity for a DevOps Engineer to join a well-established technology company delivering secure, scalable software solutions within a highly regulated environment. This role will play a key part in driving automation, improving deployment processes, and ensuring the reliability and performance of critical systems. You will work across both cloud and on-premise environments, supporting modern DevOps practices and contributing to continuous delivery and platform evolution.
Location: Leicestershire hybrid, expected in the office at least 2 days per week (some public transport available from Leicester, Rugby and Market Harborough but much easier if you drive)

Requirements for DevOps Engineer:
- Strong commercial experience working in a DevOps or Platform Engineering role
- Experience working within security-focused or highly regulated environments
- Strong knowledge of CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI or Azure DevOps
- Experience managing cloud and on-premise infrastructure, particularly within Microsoft environments
- Strong understanding of networking, security, and system administration principles
- Experience with containerisation and orchestration tools such as Docker and Kubernetes
- Familiarity with scripting languages such as Bash, Python or PowerShell
- Experience with monitoring and logging solutions
- Strong troubleshooting skills with excellent attention to detail
- Ability to communicate effectively and work collaboratively across teams
- Eligibility to obtain UK security clearance
Desirable:
- Experience with GitOps and modern deployment strategies
- Exposure to multiple cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure or GCP
- Experience working in Agile environments
- Degree educated in Computer Science, Engineering or a related subject
Responsibilities for DevOps Engineer:
- Design, implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines to support efficient software delivery
- Administer and optimise cloud and on-premise application environments
- Implement monitoring and logging solutions across systems and applications
- Ensure security best practices are embedded across infrastructure and deployment processes
- Develop scripts and tooling to automate routine tasks and improve operational efficiency
- Support the full application lifecycle, including troubleshooting and resolving deployment issues
- Manage incidents and requests in line with structured frameworks such as ITIL
- Collaborate closely with software engineering and IT teams to support delivery and reliability
- Contribute to improving system scalability, performance and resilience
