A fantastic opportunity for a DevOps Engineer to join a well-established technology company delivering secure, scalable software solutions within a highly regulated environment. This role will support DevOps and infrastructure functions, contributing to automation, improving deployment processes, and helping ensure the reliability, security and performance of critical systems. You will play an active role in supporting DevSecOps adoption and the evolution of both cloud and on-premise platforms, working closely with more senior colleagues.
Proven hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure is essential for this role.
Location: Leicestershire. Hybrid working is available with a minimum of 2 days per week in the office. Easier if you drive, but public transport options are available from Leicester & Rugby (Candidates seeking fully remote work will not be suitable).
Salary: £45,000 - £55,000 per annum + benefits.
Requirements for DevOps Engineer:
- Strong commercial experience with Microsoft Azure is essential
- At least 3 years' commercial experience in a DevOps role
- Strong knowledge of CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI or Azure DevOps
- Understanding of networking, security and system administration principles
- Experience with Azure networking and cloud infrastructure management
- Knowledge of containerisation and orchestration tools such as Docker and Kubernetes
- Familiarity with scripting languages such as PowerShell, Python and/or Bash
- Excellent troubleshooting, communication and documentation skills
- Eligibility to obtain UK security clearance
Responsibilities for DevOps Engineer:
- Support the design, implementation and maintenance of CI/CD pipelines to enable efficient and secure software delivery
- Administer and optimise Azure and on-premise application environments
- Implement and maintain monitoring, logging and alerting solutions across business-critical systems
- Support the embedding of security best practices throughout infrastructure, applications and deployment processes
- Develop scripts, tooling and automation solutions to improve operational efficiency
- Support the full application lifecycle, including troubleshooting and resolving deployment issues
- Manage incidents and requests in accordance with the ITIL framework
