They are working with a fast-growing commodity trading house looking for a Trade Operations Manager to join the team in London.

Key Responsibilities / Tasks

  • Manage end-to-end execution of physical coffee trades from contract confirmation through to final delivery, ensuring accuracy and timely execution.
  • Oversee logistics and shipping operations, coordinating with freight forwarders, shipping lines, warehouses, and optimising freight costs.
  • Manage trade documentation and regulatory compliance, including import/export requirements, customs processes, letters of credit, and EUDR obligations.
  • Lead the trade operations function while collaborating closely with traders, finance, shared services, suppliers, customers, and logistics partners.
  • Role reports directly to the CEO.

Key Qualifications / Experience

  • 5+ years of experience in physical commodity trade operations, ideally within coffee or other agricultural commodities.
  • Strong knowledge of international logistics, shipping processes, and import/export regulations, including trade documentation and customs requirements.
  • Proven expertise in contract management and trade finance documentation, including letters of credit and bills of lading.
  • Excellent organisational and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage multiple shipments, deadlines, and operational issues simultaneously.
  • Demonstrated leadership and stakeholder management abilities, with experience collaborating across trading, finance, logistics, and external partner networks.
  • Located in London.
