Redstone Commodity Search are working with a Metal trading House looking to hire a Senior Trader to join the commercial team.
Key Responsibilities / Tasks
- Responsible for/In charge of a portfolio, also broadening activities across a range of existing customers.
- Liaising with clients on new enquiries, ensuring credit compliance
- Execute trade deals with an optimized margin from enquiry through to monitoring deliveries.
- Contribute to the strategic development of the company’s’ trading division by identifying and pursuing growth opportunities in untapped markets.
- Reporting to CEO / Head of Desk
Key Qualifications / Experience
- At least 5 experience trading zinc or other base metals [Aluminium; Copper / Copper Scrap; Ferroalloys; Lead and Lead Scrap; Magnesium and Silicon; Raw Materials; Steel; Tin and Tin Scrap, Zinc and Zinc Scrap]
- Minimum of 5+ years of experience in ferrous metals trading, with a proven track record in European markets.
- A strong, active network of counterparties within Europe’s metals sector.
- Demonstrated history of delivering exceptional P&L results.
- In-depth understanding of the ferrous metals market, including key players, pricing mechanisms, and supply chain dynamics.
- Fluency in English; additional European languages are a plus.
- Based in Europe or willing to relocate to the region.
