With a competitive coverage of Trading Houses, Producers, Majors, Utilities, Merchants, Hedge Funds, Investment Banks and Brokerages; Redstone Commodity Search are working with a commodity trading and risk management firm looking to onboard experienced commodity Sales Traders, for the EU markets, to join their team in London.

Offer OTC hedging solutions (some physical) to corporate and industrial clients across Europe, dealing with existing client flow as well as originating new business.

Obtain orders, quote and execute deals with energy clients, ensuring they fall within the approved risk parameters.

Participate in the preparation of a daily energy market commentary, a weekly emissions commentary and monthly gas summary, as well as ad hoc energy market comments.

Role reports to Head of European Sales.

  • 1-3 years’ experience in commodities in a sales or commercial support function within a bank, trading house or utility within the energy space.
  • Strong written and spoken English and either German, Italian, Polish or Nordics required.
  • Fundamental understanding of commodity derivatives and financial products.
  • Located in London or happy to relocate.
