Redstone Commodity Search is working with a well-established international shipping company that is expanding into the derivatives brokerage space looking for FFA brokers to join their team in either London, Geneva, Dubai or Singapore.
Key Responsibilities / Tasks- Provide clients with insights on dry/wet bulk freight trends and rates.
- Negotiate and structure FFA contracts between buyers and sellers.
- Advise clients on strategies to hedge against freight rate volatility.
- Build and maintain strong networks with shipowners, charterers, and traders.
- Ensure trades meet regulations and manage accurate contract records.
- Role reports into Head of Freight Derivatives.
- ~5+ years of experience as an FFA/Freight Derivatives Broker.
- ~ Strong understanding of dry or wet freight shipping markets, freight indices, and FFA’s.
- ~ Proven experience in structuring and closing deals with excellent communication and persuasion skills.
- ~ Transferable portfolio of business is desirable.
- ~ Familiarity with relevant regulations, compliance standards, and trade documentation practices.
- ~ Role is in either London, Geneva, Dubai or Singapore.
