Redstone Recruitment are looking for a HGV 1 Driver to work with a busy scaffolding company in Basildon, Essex.
THE JOB ROLE: You will be responsible for transporting and delivering scaffolding equipment using heavy goods vehicles. Duties will include vehicle inspections, overseeing proper loading and unloading of materials and ensuring compliance with DOT regulations, and maintaining accurate delivery documentation.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Punctual and reliable, willing to be at the yard for 5:30am each day
- Good time management skills
- Prior experience in construction transportation will be advantageous
- Proficiency in HGV driving with a valid CDL Class A license
- Experience in truck driving and vehicle operation through London
- Knowledge of securing materials to meet transportation standards
- Knowledge of DOT regulations
- Excellent awareness of vehicle maintenance and inspection procedures
Overtime paid for longer days over 8 hours per day, and also extra payment offered if you are willing to arrive at the yard earlier than stated and be part of the loading team. This position has the potential to become permanent for the right person.
