Stonemason in Canterbury, Kent

Redstone Recruitment are looking for a stonemason to join a busy company, workingalongside a factory manager as a natural stone company. You will have experience working with stone and kitchen worktops. The ideal person will have hands-on experience working with granite, quartz and marble. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES * You will be proficient using hand held grinders and polishers to cut, shape, and polish stone. * Work with the factory manager to ensure project specifications are met * Produce stone work tops, shape stone and polish stone edges. * You will be required to attend site visits and customers houses to assist the fitting team. * Understand CNC technology (is an advantage) * Operate an edge polisher * Knowledge of templating and fitting (is an advantage) * Operate a bridge saw (is an advantage) REQUIREMENTS * Proven experience as a stonemason with 1-2 years (essential). * Knowledge of masonry and general construction practices. * UK full driving license is a requirement * Experience using hand tools, power tools, and stone masonry equipment. * Able to read and interpret technical drawings. * Fair physical strength and fitness required to manoeuvre the stone. * CSCS Card would be an advantage Working Hours: Monday to Friday – 8 hours per day.
