GROUNDWORKS ESTIMATOR – JOIN OUR TEAM

We’re looking for an experienced Groundworks Estimator to join our growing team.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a strong background in groundworks, civils and construction estimating who can confidently price projects from tender stage through to submission.

The Role

You’ll be responsible for preparing accurate and competitive estimates for a range of groundworks and civil engineering projects, working closely with clients, suppliers, subcontractors and our project team.

Key responsibilities include:

• Reviewing drawings, specifications and tender documents
• Preparing detailed groundworks and civils estimates
• Producing accurate take-offs and bills of quantities
• Obtaining and analysing supplier and subcontractor quotationsli>
• Pricing labour, plant, materials and subcontract packages
• Identifying project risks, exclusions and potential savings
• Preparing and submitting competitive tenders
• Liaising with clients and main contractors
• Supporting the commercial and operations teams from tender through to project handover

About You

We’re looking for someone who:

• Has proven experience estimating groundworks/civils projects
• Has a strong understanding of excavation, drainage, foundations, roads, utilities and associated works
• Can read and interpret construction drawings
• Is confident using estimating/take-off software and Microsoft Excel
• Has excellent attention to detail and commercial awareness
• Can work to deadlines and manage multiple tenders
• Communicates confidently with clients, suppliers and subcontractors
• Can work independently while contributing to a wider team

A strong background with a groundworks contractor or civil engineering company is highly desirable.
