Role purpose
The purpose of this role is to provide focused, interim support to the People team during post-acquisition integration activity, ensuring employees experience a clear, supportive, and well-coordinated transition into the Group. The role will act as a bridge between newly acquired employees and permanent People leadership, supporting onboarding delivery while deliberately strengthening and transferring relationships to the core People team.
Key responsibilities
- Employee onboarding & early-stage support
- Act as the day-to-day point of contact for employee questions following acquisition, on behalf of the People team.
- Conduct structured 1-to-1 onboarding conversations with employees joining via acquisition.
- Provide clear guidance on what is changing (and when), policies, benefits, systems, and ways of working.
- Identify early concerns, themes, or risks and escalate appropriately.
- People integration delivery
- Support delivery of the people integration plan for acquisitions in line with the Group's approach/playbook.
- Coordinate closely with the People team to support smooth execution of onboarding processes, HRIS set-up/data transfer, and payroll/benefits transition activity.
- Tracking, insight & continuous improvement
- Maintain simple onboarding and integration trackers and action logs.
- Capture employee feedback, common questions, and emerging themes; propose improvements.
- Provide regular updates to the CPO with progress, risks, and recommendations.
Essential Experience & skills
- Experience in post-acquisition integrations is a must, large-scale onboarding, or complex organisational change.
- Strong interpersonal skills and confidence in holding 1-to-1 conversations.
- Highly organised, pragmatic, delivery-focused; able to manage multiple workstreams.
- Emotionally intelligent with sound judgement around escalation and boundaries.
- Comfortable operating at pace and in ambiguity.
