An exciting opportunity has arisen within this leading, global manufacturer of machinery and equipment into a number of technical and engineering industries, for a Senior Electronics Engineer to join its team in Bishops Stortford.
THE ROLE
The Senior Electronics Engineer will be responsible for the design, development, and documentation associated with the electro-mechanical systems of highly complex electromechanical machinery. Independently evaluate, select and apply standard engineering techniques, procedures and criteria in executing product development and validation.
Responsibilities include:
- Lead and support the design and development of systems and PCBAs from initial concept and requirements definition through validation, production release, and sustaining support.
- Create schematics, support PCB layout, and develop bills of materials in collaboration with layout, manufacturing, and supply chain teams.
- Support prototype builds, bring‑up, debug, and validation testing at the board and system level.
- Develop and execute electrical verification and characterization test plans, including documenting results and resolving issues.
- Provide sustaining engineering support, including root cause analysis of manufacturing, field, or supplier-related issues and implementation of corrective actions.
- Apply industry codes, standards, and internal design practices to ensure safe, reliable, and manufacturable designs.
