An exciting opportunity has arisen within this leading, global manufacturer of machinery into the food and pharmaceutical industries for a Regional Sales Manager to join its growing team.
THE ROLE
In order to succeed in the role of Regional Sales Manager ideally you will be based south of the M4 including Bristol, Swindon, Salisbury, Yeovil, Portsmouth, Basingstoke, Farnborough etc. Your role is to develop and execute strategic account plans to achieve revenue and long term profitability targets. Other responsibilities include:
- Develop a strategy of how to best support the food industry in the region, visit customer sites and assess requirements
- Create a deliverable Sales Plan and identify sites for new business opportunities
- Build credibility with customers and prospect sites based on technical know-how and understanding of their applications
- Prepare customer proposals, follow up and win business in line with the overall business strategy
- Promote company service offering and work closely with the Aftermarket team to ensure contract revenue is maximised
- Act professionally and promptly as the primary point of contact for customers with regards to new equipment
- Meet and exceed the agreed monthly sales revenue target
- Maintain pricing levels and margins
- Update the CRM system for the specified sales area, ensuring data is accurate and up to date
THE PERSON
The ideal candidate for this role will have experience of selling capital equipment within the South West region within a machine manufacturing environment or similar. Any experience of selling into the food and beverage (FMCG) or pharma industries would be a huge advantage.
