An exciting opportunity has arisen for this leading, global manufacturer of capital equipment into the food and pharmaceutical industry for a Regional Sales Manager to look after the South West region.
THE ROLE
Reporting into the Sales Director, the role of the Regional Sales Manager requires someone that is based around or south of the M4 and can cover the Swindon, Andover, Southampton, Salisbury, Devon and Cornwall areas.
- Develop a strategy of how to best support the food and Pharma industries in the region, visit customer sites and assess requirements.
- Create a deliverable Sales Plan and identify sites for new business opportunities.
- Build credibility with customers and prospect sites based on technical know-how and understanding of their applications.
- Prepare customer proposals, follow up and win business in line with the overall business strategy.
- Promote service offering and work closely with the Aftermarket team to ensure contract revenue is maximised.
- Act professionally and promptly as the primary point of contact for customers with regards to new equipment.
- Meet and exceed the agreed monthly sales revenue target.
- Maintain pricing levels and margins.
- Update the CRM system for the specified sales area, ensuring data is accurate and up to date.
- Feedback competitor activity and market developments to technical teams.
THE CANDIDATE
In order to succeed in the role of Regional Sales Manager, you will need experience of selling capital equipment, ideally into the manufacturing, food, pharmaceutical industries or similar. You will need a desire to succeed along with the ability to work an area in terms of growing a customer base.
